Why do people give out jesters to obvious ragebait?
I cant help but notice every time i post a rage bait on something for a bit of a laugh i also get rewarded with people giving me free steam points and having meltdowns in the replies

enjoyment. for laughs. for kicks. for what ever reason. i can think of various reasons why people will give a jester award. but the way, i see it. you score both an award, xp towards your profile, and points to spend, if you are into that kind of thing

If I get a string of awards, I will award others more often. I mean, might as well, they give me some points, I don't need the points, I see some posts that I want to give an award to, and everyone wins

Time. The longer the post is around, the less likely it will bait people.

A better question would be why do they give them out at all. They think it's a form of insult and it's not. Those awards are nothing more than emoticons.

The point shop is lowkey underrated, It's useless but I sure do enjoy messing with my profile using it.
