More specifically it has a bunch of well known music tracks (Hendrix, Alice in Chains, and various others), presumably the rights holders (or lawyers) involved wanted a fixed minimum amount in fees to renew the licences that made it not worth doing for such an old game with low residual sales.
Do you think this can be resolved in the next few years?
A) The devs pay the license fee
B) The devs remove the tracks from the game
A is almost certainly not going to happen. As it was mentioned, the game is not going to make enough to offset the cost to renew the license.
B is unlikely because gamers get very salty anytime it happens.
Im actually sad this game was removed. It looked really good too.
I played 2 minutes of it back in 2020.
The whole storyline in specs ops the line is actually better than some of the newer games coming out. Still what a loss. Well we could vote on GOG dreamlist to bring it back. Right now people are voting alot for the breath of fire 4 game on pc.

Also freelancer is top voted game. Not sure why, i played it before and it did not really impress me. Just another space game like homebound.
I apparently bought it on a 3rd party site on Dec 23, 2016.
Edit: Yup... Humble Bundle.
