Gaming burnout
I recently got a few games off the holiday sale and I'll play them for 30 minutes and there great but then randomly I'll just lose all interest in it it's so annoying like I really wanna play them but I just don't have interest in it so annoying and I love gaming and I recall this happening last year as well

Happens to me quite often. Try mixing it up with other hobbies. If I’m not feeling up to any games, I play virtual piano, watch youtube, or possibly will finish that book that I keep telling myself to read.

Mindless PvE games also help soothe my indecisiveness, picking something stimulating while I make up my mind.

Travel through the various forums and pick something to educate everyone about. It works for politics/flat-earthers. I've picked up Sithposting(not a typo) to keep my replies interesting. Then once you're ready, jump right back into the game and you'll be fine again.
Just do other things. If you often do the same thing, even if it's different genres, one can indeed lose the spark for a while. That's ok, it's part of life. Sometimes it even means a primary hobby becomes a secondary one. Also fine.

Seriously, don't try to force yourself into it. Doesn't work and will make you resent it in the long run.
perhaps you suffer from depression or deficiency of some kind? sometimes you can have these types of afflictions and not even realise it. perhaps go to the doctor and get some levels checked, or see if you can do phone consultation with a therapist to discuss this lack of interest in things you used to enjoy.

it is also very possible that you are as you say, burned out. might just be a phase where you are a little tired of video games. thats okay, just keep yourself busy with other things in the time being.

think it happens to quite a few people once in a while or at least once. happened to me a few times. don't worry about it, do something else or play something else. you will get to the games
I have felt that way at times as well...I just leave my computer room, watch some tv, do knitting and some other stuff just to clear my brain for awhile..then I am back gaming in full form..I bet every gamer has gone through this so it is just the matter of breaking up the frame if you will, just for a little while than your back at the drawing board, so to speak...don't worry...all will be as it should once the fog lifts...Just Remember to take time for other activities to better enjoy your gaming!

Maybe the game just doesn't grip you. I've bought games I've never finished because of that, nothing to do with burnout, just not enjoying the game for whatever reason.

According to your profile you still play 3.5 hours each day. If you only feel good for 30 minutes while playing games, then i think you might have symptoms of a beginning gaming addiction, because you are forcing yourself to play for another 3 hours, even though you are not enjoying your time.

I would try and test how you feel 7 days without playing any games. And if it happens to be very easy for you, then its still a double win, because you will come back with a refreshed mind.

Try playing older games from your game library.

This helps keep your gaming experience interesting.

Modern gaming is annoying like that. Too focused on messaging than fun. Playing indie games or older games ends up being more enjoyable.

Do a puzzle in real life. You can get them in most drug stores, or if you have a hobby lobby near your house, you can buy some there. Even five below sells puzzles. I recently bought a penuts puzzle from them for 3 dollars.

And? The only person responsible for managing your burnout is you.

Happens to us all. I've spoken of this many times. I'm in my fifties and have been gaming since the very dawn of it all.

There's basically two approaches I recommend.

(1) You're generally burned out on a type of game or have been doing a certain routine for too long. In this case, go play something else quite disparate from what you usually do. I tend to avoid this these days but having a couple of "warm up" games like old arcade games to get me into it.

If you are instead more put off with ALL games, then it's a good idea to just do something else. I have a few hobbies, like making or producing music, electronics, astronomy and so on. I will go away and drop gaming until I feel like it again. Could be a few hours, could be a few weeks. But once I feel like retruning, it makes it all the better.

(2) You're in a rut more generally. This is especially poignant if you're tired or run down, maybe a little depressed even. If you've been doing the same old routine like going to work or school, coming home, doing the same thing, then sitting down and by force of habit jumping into the same old game(s), then this may be your problem.

In which case, I recommend getting moving. Go out, walk round the block, run a bit, do something a bit physical. Getting your endorphins going from just a few days of jogging round the block can make a world of difference at getting your brain working again.

I've recently gone back to playing old games from the early 2000's like The Sims 2, it has made me very happy

Although Elite Dangerous had me hooked for a while but im taking a break after doing a big grind of exploration data.
Same. Has much i enjoy gaming. It feels hard to play them. Right now i been watching Cobra Kai and waiting for the last season of Stranger Things.
