Are You Playing These Games On Windows 8.1

i just want to know how the left 4 dead 1 amd 2 and the batman arkham series are playing on windows 8.1. do they play good for you, can you compare them playing to windows 7, did you upgrade or full install 8.1 etc etc?
looking around the internet most people say they play good/faster some people say they don't but as usual you get the sad little geeky windows 8 haters that will tell you it's rubbish as they too scared of change (i bet they still on xp lol).

I am on Windows 8.1 i hate it... why? no touch screen and for me all the start screen become useless.. the only reason i do not move back to windows 7 is the 2 seconds wake up that is the best i get on Windows 8...

Any way most games work fine i did have problem with Darksiders.. (that gives me the BSoD that it lest looks nicer now as i see it much more)

Windows 8 plays most games fine. It is not yet as polished OS as others and it may never be because of all the hatred coming from users. If you have Windows 7, don't switch to Windows 8 because it has no real advantages. If you are building a new PC or you have an older OS on a good PC, there is no reason why not to pick Windows 8 over Windows 7. It also depends on what hardware you run it on.
As for Left 4 Dead 1/2 (and other source engine games) - they run well on my machine which is quite old (specs on my steam profile) I have yet to play Batman games but they definitely works with Windows 8.
So I'm a happy Windows 8.1 Pro user :) I can only remember one BSOD when I changed BIOS settings but Windows fixed it by itself. I ran into some driver issues (ATI legacy gfx card, network driver not working after resuming from hibernation) but that's acceptable.

I have L4D1 and the Batman series. Exact same performance as W7 and I didn't have to mess with any settings to get them to work correctly. Used upgrade but did a custom install to ensure a clean install (wipe of drive before installing W8).

You can bypass the MetroUI in 8.1 as a built in option. I haven't seen the MetroUI since my first install and upgrade to 8.1.

Its steel pops out from time to time.. when over load the server.. but over all i hate the part they even put it... i have no use for it.. and its just a waste there... and i had hopes for it XD
Its more a hate coming for hoping then any thing really.. i mean i trusted them to make something better (adding to that that ASUS seem to some what forget my PC and did not update all its drivers... and mess it up)

I'm using W8.1 for a few weeks now and it is great. I set it up like a computer instead of a phone and I'll never look back. No touch screen and I don't miss it at all.

This is on a 6 yo MB/CPU and it works better than W7 ever did (though that still is a good OS), except for a few minor points i have found ways around.
