I like to listen to stuff that enerigizes me. So I listen to Avenged Sevenfold for that.

Depends on the game. I'm not a music expert, but I suppose "game background music" isn't a "kind", so there's probably different kinds in different games.

Well i will listen to some i think.. but most of the time i play multiplayer games so i prefer to hear what is going on around me
But if il ever find a more quite game with no good sound track i guess il start to listening to something

What will change game to game type

Actually, I listen to music less'n less when I'm gaming...
Don't really know why.

In some cases it does add some ambient surprises when shutting down BGM.

No; my music never matches the mood of the game I play. Just leave the in game music on. If you need music to keep you entertained in a game, you're playing a boring game.

I tend to only have ingame music on- in the majority of cases the music is tailored to the game, and adds to the experience.

When I played a lot of MMOs, I would listen to music when farming, since I'd heard the same music on a loop for many, many hours already.

I'm a big fan of the 'next track' buttons on most driving games, however. 90% of Burnout Paradise's music drives me insane, and I really, really don't need to hear Paradise City again.

I'd put a song up but I think you're just better off seaching "Big Buffy Soldier Dancing on Babies" in Youtube, it might not be your thing, but I find it rather catchy.

Don't question my taste in music I'll listen to anything, I don't like sitting in silence it's no fun.
