Very important question ABOUT CS 1.6

Why steam does not support Counter-strike 1.6 and why do steam allow pojects like CSSetti Boostmaster and others to exist. It's ruining the game and makes running a server x3 more expensive. Is it not a trade mark valiation to distribute Non Steam cracked games with its own hacked master servers? DO I HAVE TO BECOME A HACKER TO RUN A SUCESSFULL SERVER ?

This people are distributing free illigal copies of the game for years and no one is doing anything and they are making massive amounts of money on this.

cs 1.6 is basically dead, it isn't a major tournament game anymore ... and running a successful server? who cares about your private servers?

also, they recreated a complete fork of counter-strike when Valve shutdown WON and moved to Steam, so you are complaining about something that exists since 12+ years.

and in 2015, you do not simply fight piracy with lawsuits anymore, especially not for something that old.

you most likely paid what? maybe $10 for your cs copy? you have 3k hours of fun with it, move on.

ITS a clasic fps game that should be treaded like a antic. IT all begun there all the new games are more or less based on HL1. ITS THE HISTORY OF FPS GAMING!!!!

100k of non steam coppies http://cssetti.pl/statystyki every day playing the guy is making at least $5k a week just from masterserver, I know that steam wants to transfer thouse player on to CS:GO where you have to pay for everything.

Dont forget that the only reason CS 1.6 is dieing is becouse of updates that steam has relesed 3 years ago togever with a new CS:GO. they have ruined FPS and comunnication in a co-op game so people transfer -.- all the exploits are supported by funs on METAMOD becouse steam has no intrest.

If the game would run like it use to it would be more popular than CS:GO but if a simple player downloads a game on win VISTA+ and runs it on a GOOD computer without manipulating with the system, command or files in CS folder he will receve about 30 fps -.- that game use to run on pentium 3 how comes now people with i7 have 20-30 fps

CS:GO is good and you don't "have to pay for everything" (unless you're an idiot who thinks it's important to have some skins and a knife). Actually I bought a lot of games with the money I won just playing CS.

it is old, has multiple successors and should be threaded as such, so dumpster it into the old-people home.

the only reason CS 1.6 is dying is that it is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 16 years old.

it would not, CSS also wiped most 1.6 tournaments away and with the release of GO that was the last punch. the game runs well on any mediocre $500 PC, you buy today.

yea just forget your history and dump it in a bin, Optional? Pay if you want a cool game -.- why people consider standard csgo not cool enough than? also you can still buy cs 1.6 on steam and every one that buyes it is being done and wastes his money. how can steam still sell it they r making money on sales but they spend nothing on support. Also thouse statistics are not fake you can check it on varius websites. many people come back from GO back to 1.6. any way CS GO is also full of cheaters and exploits they cant even manage that.VAC is a jocke.

CS 1.6 is a 16bit color range game and any operating system is trying to open it in 32 creating collors that dont exist in a game wich op's the graphic card.
