your ISP is probably not be able to fix the latency issues, that is on Valves end on the line.
(prior to yesterday since csgo release, ashburn va was always 25-30ms)
i will simply not play official servers anymore.
(current non official latencies)
45ms chicago, 15-20ms nyc. 45ms atlanta.
(official servers)
60-70ms ashburn 80+ms atlanta
what advantage does "high winds network group" have?
it does nothing beneficial for me.
it has only increased my latency by 2x
and apparently streaming my monitor to unknown devices..
so just no... no.
will gladly do whatever i can to keep that ip out of my tracerts.
looks like i'm going to have to ride the tier tech train at comcast this week...
in the meantime i will just play at non-official servers.
also this highwinds group...
i want nothing to do with them.
all they have done is make my internet worse.
and apparently they're streaming my video to unknown devices...
so simply. no.
i will consider legal action.
i did not give this highwinds network group permission
to stream my data to unknown remote devices.
now i will begin recording proof.
Yeah, well to put it bluntly, too bad.
Valve use them to provide content delivery services. So you have to connect to them, because they're the ones providing valve's content.

If it's slower, it's probably just you hit a congested part of their network and hopefully it's temporary.
As for your legal action, remember to file against cloudflare, akamai and all the other content delivery networks around.

if you need a lesson in infrastructual networking, feel free to contact me with your location, i will find a good course for you.
you don't need any education in law, that is already proven to be failed.
I was going through my hardware box last month and found a 13.8kbps modem
I remember being in college and the teachers giving us the new number you could dial in to if you had a 2400 baud modem.
my issue is currently resolved at the moment.
pinging 27ms-38ms ashburn virginia.
(its normal)
and 40-50ms to atlanta.
(normal)
understand, i have never in my life seen that company while playing valve games.
and the site for the company says on its homepage "stream to any device."
so when i start playing a game i've played for decades,
see 2x higher latency, run a tracert and see the troublesome hop
advertising "streaming" i become concerned.
glad its fixed though.
i can get back to enjoying a great game.
and i love valve. always have. always will.
thanks all.
and enjoy.
Kind.
and yeah, i can get
but not always.
i understand all your posts, and know i typed some irrational things.
but understand. the nerd rage. ;)
lol
later all.
