You could also check out Co-Optimus and set a a filter for ESRB rating.

"Unravel Two" would also fall into those categories but it's not that challenging and i thought it was a bit short (5 to 6 hours to finish).

"Portal 2" may also be a good choice, the co-op mode is really fun but some of the puzzles can be a bit tricky, maybe a bit too challenging as the game is rated PEGI 12 but it should be fine for a 10 years old especially since he play with an adult.

Plenty there to pique your kid's interest from the Mrvel ones to Batman, Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, Star Wars, Harry Potter and so on. Great to play co-op too as you truly help each other along, so if your lad gets frustrated by any bit you can help him along really well in those games.

This one hasn't split screen either but I'll keep it in mind when my son has got his own computer someday. :)
Don't bother with "Realms"
IIRC LEGO games usually blocks screen scroll if the players are too far apart so you will always see both on the same screen.
Most Lego games are done on the one screen., It has limitations but it works.
All the LEGO games have split screen / local play in one form or another. Sometimes you share a screen and it splits when you separate.
The store listings aren't always accurate.
My 3 year old kid loved Portal2, bit of patience required for the first few areas till they get the hang of it, and then a bit of help for the end game areas.
That and Minecraft are his favourite, and should be pretty popular for all ages.
Ah I see. I misunderstood. So I'll try another LEGO game in this case. Thank you.
