Steam Gaurd Good or Bad?
I personaly think that Steam has become a bit overbearing and needs to take a step back or loosen their regulations. I have also been told, however, that necessity should be more important to personal convenience. I'm just wondering what is the general consensus? All input is appreciated.

Anybody with any suggestions on how to improve the regulations should feel free to post them as well.

i have no problems with it at all. 2fa is a boon. they should simply just forbid trading and marketeering for non-2fa users completely instead of 15 days holds.

I lost my phone, I don't even know how I'll be able to trade items anymore because that's where I had the mobile authenticator on.

Never had a problem, and never will.

I don't like that Steam is deciding what is best for me. It is my items that are at risk, and I should be able to choose to how to use my own account.

I understand why they are doing this, though, it's dramatically less work for them to clean up with Steam Guard.

I would have probably taken advantage of an authenticator system regardless, but that doesn't mean I like to be forced to do it.

Talk with Steam and they'll fix it. Sooner or later you're going to be locked out of your account because Steam Guard asks you every now and then to input a code to get online.

It's a much bigger deal that you lost your phone. You should probably adjust your priorities.
