Question about "External Funds Used"

Hey everyone, I was wondering if the "external funds used" calculator (https://help.steampowered.com/en/accountdata/AccountSpend) included refunds - does anyone know? Mine is surprisingly high, and I'm curious to know if it's including everything I've purchased and then refunded. Any way to tell? Thanks!

I'm sorry for being dense, but I'm not sure what you mean - do you mean it doesn't include purchases you later refunded, or it doesn't count refunds and only lists purchases that remained unrefunded?

you buy something for $10 with credit card, refund that to Steam wallet and buy something for $10 again, you still have $10 external funds used, not $20.
if you refund that back to the credit card and buy something again you still have $10 external funds used, not $20.

that number is the money Steam has gotten from you, refunding and buying something else does not give them more money, it seems like you expecting something else.
