Help! Steam chat's group chat cannot upload avatars.

When I upload a avatar, It will be tell me "server errors". Try to upload in different regions and networks, and it is still the same.

I have been having the same issue. I was last able to upload an icon/avatar on September 14, and from looking around the forums it seems like it's been broken since roughly September 18. I can personally confirm it's been broken since at least October 26.

Looks like steam's problem

for real existing groups, you can upload/change the avatar via the group page, not via its group chat.

if you meant a groupless group chat, should not work atm and probably not on any high priority to get fixed.

This topic is not answered. I've been having the same problem since around Mid-September as well. I run multiple group chats, and for the past 3-4 months, there was no luck in changing group avatars. I've been trying to find a fix, as the icons are what distinguishes which are for which topic.

I have also tried to replace the avatars on the ones that fortunately do have avatars. That also doesn't work. The "answer" to this doesn't answer it in the slightest. It's an explanation on how the avatars work.

There are multiple topics that are "answered" without answers, so I'll dig this one out of it's grave. What in the world do we do to fix this? What do we need to provide for there to be a fair test? How in the world has this bug gone on for 4 whole months without Steam identifying the problem, or at least not ever saying they've identified this problem?

I didn't even find similar questions from others.This is obviously steam's problem, which has not been fixed until now
