Is it Jan 1, 1970?

If so that's the default UNIX date. I think?

Is Steam Id Finder a 3rd party site or something? I don't know anything about it, but could be an error on the site or database. Clearly no Steam accounts were actually created in 1970.

Time is subjective, not a fixed constant. People assume that time is a strict progression from cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff. :steammocking:

Placeholder values are an old & well-known concept.

It is, there's no doubt in any way. That's a literal placeholder date, common to many, many programs that use that code.

There's a few 1970 dates that pop up on Steam like this https://imgur.com/snVnnfM

error of the 3rd party website.
that site also does not resolve relink offset SteamIDs correctly and pulls data from public profile xml .. which is a meh method to actually look something up.

And people complained like crazy about having to have the 'spyware' installed. And yet, here we are.
