Game about plants?

Anyone know of a decent plant/gardening sim? I know about plant tycoon, but was hoping to find something a little more realistic. The garden dlc for house flipper comes pretty close to what I wish for, but you can't grow and breed plants, only place them.

Does a game like this exist at all?

It's funny, but quite a few of the newer and better AAA survival games have some form of botany/farming aspect to them. Some are pretty deep and others have mods that add that aspect to them. You might want to broaden your search to include those.
