You can't open a game twice -- that's Steam's own doing, not the game (I believe, since for Borderlands it worked just fine with the non-Steam version).

You should be able to run two different games no problems. On the same computer, of course -- Steam won't let you play with the same account on two computers, tbat's part of the core business promise.

trying to open 2 different games on the same computer but when i try to open the second game it force close's the first game.

nvm found out if i open both game's fast enough steam won't close any thanks for the help :)
:teddy_talk: OP, there are "game idler" apps out there, some people "farm" card drops from games.
I've not used one myself but I think if you Googled, "Steam+Multiple+Game+Idler" something might come up 😎

not wanting a game idler just looking to see if i can play ftd while my sis plays job sim

It may depend on the games you are tying to run.

I can run Clicker Heros and No Man Sky just fine, at the same time.

If you have two resource intensive games active, then the system may force one to close in order to stop from crashing.

was just steam being weird got it working now
