2020 Halloween Backgrounds

I was wondering if the new 2020 Animated Halloween Background 'expires' after Halloween

I'm aware that other Animated Backgrounds purchase-able on the Points shop do 'expire' (Such as 2020 Lunar New Year background.)

If anyone has bought the Background yet, does it give any clue as to it's expiration date? or we will be able to use it indefinitely?


(Im sorry if this was the wrong Sub Forum to post in, but there's not exactly a "Point Shop" subforum, or even a community market subforum.)

They should be permanent.

Where did you get that info from? As far as I know, golden profile is the only temporary items. All else (background, emoticon, frame, etc) are permanent.

You can check my inventory, I still have background from 2019 Lunar New Year.

As has been said, the only one that expired is the Gold Profile. If something expires, it will state as such.

No there were definitely some expiring backgrounds..
i remember there was an animated rat background for "year of the rat" event, and that profile background/wallpaper definitely expired.. or else i'd still be using it.

Tho.. i think that was before the point shop became "permanent". Now, i think, all the items, except the golden profiles, are permanent.

I recall golden lanterns shaped like mouse, that was the one that expired. Besides the Golden Profile.

I just redeem the Halloween animated background, there's no expiration date. It's permanent.

Usually the items that expire are "profile modifiers" where as the Halloween item is a "profile background". I got the background, and there's nothing mentioned in the description of it that it expires.

well that's the jpg, original one was animated. The rat moved a bit. There were some other wallpapers in that same event that also had an expiration date, if i recall correctly.

But yes! all the ones that expire did seem to have a warning about the fact that they did. When i got that rat wallpaper, i read that it would expire before i got it :)

I think it was basically a golden profile but for the year of the rat event
