is steam inventory helper safe?

searched around if there is easier method to mennage my inventory, and came across that google chrome app, was wondering if anyone have used it and know if it's safe to use or not.

Using your Steam account on anything other than Steam itself poses by definition a certain risk. "Safe" is a really loose concept here because most people will conclude 'safety' from "nothing bad happened to me" but that doesn't necessarily exclude any risks.

In the end it's always a risk. If you want safety then stick with Steam. If you don't mind taking a certain risk then use apps or whatever. Just be sure to keep your restore codes in a safe place where you can access them without having to log on.

Steam Inventory Helper isn't an app, it's a browser extension and is used directly through the Steam website

When I downloaded the extension it downloaded a file that I can't find, Is that normal or something that I shouldn't worry about?
