How to bypass the block of the university modem to use steam?

Hi guys :) as you can read i have some connection problem because of my univeristy wifi. This router litterly block steam app, when i try to start the program said to me that i m offline cus i have some internet problem, like when you don t have internet or something like that, but internet work!!!!!! I don t know how to solve this problem and in my house there is the same router of the university.... Someone of you guys find the same problem? do you find any solution? I m stuck with this annoyin router.. Thanks to anyone who will answer me and maybe help me :) thanks a lot!

talk to the University IT department. Getting caught bypassing it can get you in trouble (depending on the policy, you could get kicked out)

Ask the IT admin at your University. Only they can answer this. Most Universities block access to Steam because users eat bandwidth like candy.

default is to block stuff like steam on campus, you are there for education, not playing video games. if you talk about your dorm or something, contact the admins.

wuddih: i m talkin most for the dorm router. But the admins is difficoult to contact cus there are a lot of dorm here with the same system and it s all standard. I ll try but probably they ll never will answer me. I can only use youtube and google... Thanks guys :)
