If you've been contacted by a scammer then you should report them. Don't try to rally a mob because that won't work. For the simple reason that Steam support can check up on someones history.
So if you report him they can verify that the other person actually contacted you. If I were to report him they can't verify zip. Meaning... my report is a false report. Generate too many false reports and Steam will assume the scammer is under attack and they'll most likely ignore the whole thing.
See... I have no reason to report anyone. You may claim he's a scammer, that doesn't make it true. Only Steam support can verify this.
Posts like yours only make you look suspicious... "Reporting real Valve employees"? That's plain out stupid.
So you say, there's 0 proof of that. Not to mention that it's still naming and shaming, which isn't allowed. Don't bend the rules just to get even with people who may be bending the rules. Because that will only hurt yourself.
The whole idea is bogus, plain and simple.
Now that's a new one.
