Does Far Cry 5 run on PC or is it like Assassins Creed Odyssey?
I see Far Cry 5 is an UBISOFT game so I am skeptical. On Christmas day I purchased Assassins Creed Odyssey and it never ever ran even though I did all the crap that UPlay said I had to for it to run on a PC... including opening up my machine to virus attacks.

I uninstalled ACO and asked for a refund, so I really don't want to waste another 2 days with FarCry5 and then have to wait for a refund if it doesn't work either.

Any feedback would be great, thanks.

Far cry 5 runs great if you meet the requirements.

Odyssey is more demanding than Far Cry 5 but it all boils down to your PC specs. uPlay also functions perfectly fine if up to date and also ran with the highest system privillages.

I have 105 hours in Odyssey on PC. So that works fine.
It has 20k people playing right this moment.
I own Far Cry 5 but did not play it yet but the benchmark gave me 92 FPS with Ultra settings as average.

So i would say, both games run perfectly fine on PC.

What are your system specs if we may ask?
YOUR SYSTEM
Windows 7 64-bit
16384 MB
1907.73 GB Storage
Intel Core i7-4790K 4000 MHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
1051 MHz (1051 MHz)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
1051 MHz (1051 MHz)

(yes I disabled SLI like they said. That did not work either)

They also demand that I turn off my virus and malware but at the same time demand that I stay connected to the internet which is somthing I do not think is acceptabe. But I tried that as well and it did not work. Nothing worked. It was all a waste of time.
OH NO IT CRASHED

Far Cry 5 is pretty stable and should run fine on that rig. You must have uPlay up to date and run it as an admin whilst fully connected to the internet for the game to work. Each game also has its respective forum https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/#games which can be far more beneficial with technical support than seeking help from their customer service direct who basically just rattle off bog-standard tips from a medicore checklist.
I wanted to post the rediculous steps they had me do but I can't find it on U-CANT-PLAY anymore. I am not sure I will ever get my services running right again. Wish they could just make a game function without having to act like a virus.
I do not understand. Far Cry 5 runs great. You would think they would use the same engine.
