Valve never held an easter or spring sale. everything that was promoted onto the front page were dev initiatives.
However since Easter is a major holiday across Western Europe and North America I'd anticipate a couple of big publishers' sales that weekend.
Steam had four major sales in less than four months - Halloween, Late Autumn, Winter, and Lunar New Year and I really think they'll not have a major sale now until the summer sale in the last week of June.
That said take this weekend - there's a lot of top games on sale - some at very low prices.
