zombie games set during the outbreak as opposed to after?

What's the point of "during" an outbreak. There are only few Zombies, no one really knows about yet. All there is to do but containing the outbreak - which makes no difference in the setting because in the limited area of the game the outbreak already took place.

The fight for your life against mindless hordes of enemies is what makes the game.

Zombi is set in Britain and takes place right at the start of the outbreak. (About a month or so)

I didn't add that one cause don't you start out after it happens? You start out when there are zombies everywhere.

The VR one (from what I've seen in gameplay) is set when it starts, and your girlfriend is out of the house and calls you when stuff start going down and you are in your apparment and you gather some stuff then head out. Kinda like the last of us where you start at your house as the duaghter....

yea i was really thinking about dead island its kinda very early post outbreak
