Why aren't the Harry Potter games on steam?
Confused why none of the Harry Potter games made it to Steam. I would honestly buy all of them, especially if they ported the console versions instead of the crappy PC versions.

Expired licenses, that’s the usual reason.

Harry Potter :)

Well, the Harry Potter Lego games are here. I dropped the first one (and never tried the second), though, as it was just too buggy and the lack of voice acting didn't actually improve it either.

Other than that, if you would be more specific about the games you are missing, one could tell you why they aren't here. However, in many cases, it's just they never got a PC port.

Most of the hp games I've ever seen aren't for PC, yeah.

If you're looking for "not crappy ports" then you're barking up the wrong tree here: you need to contact the developers and publishers of those console games, in order for them to know that there's still desire for the games to be better ported.

Because EA own the licence to the games, you can find them on Origin

Your info is way outdated EA made the games on a license agreement which has expired they no longer have any right to sell them and they can not be bought on origin.

If you are saying they are still available to buy on Origin you should link to some evidence of it because they are not on origins full list of available games or findable by searching.

I don't even care if the ports are bad, renew the license EA, put them on Steam, not your lame Origin and proceed to

The closest you can get to Harry Potter on Steam is Hogwart's Legacy, might wanna check it out if you don't know it already.

deathly hallows used to be here but was removed later i guess
HikariLight Feb 23, 2024 @ 5:12am
The HP games based off the books are removed due to Electronic Arts failing to renew the licenses for the content.
If someone had already bought the games, they can freely redownload them at anytime, but if you didn't, your currently out of luck.

♥♥♥♥. ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥. Why. Why couldn't some ass studio just licenses it again. Remake improve or just make so stream can sell n u can play on deck or rog ally. That way we can have fun hogwarts legacy already have. But harry potter games are great and wonderful experience. To play. And wanting play it on console or handheld ain't bad. 😅 [hearts covering the swears I did 😅

Because it is the way it is.
Lego Harry Potter games are on steam. Also hogwats legacy as others have said.

If you want the super old ones, you can buy them used for the older systems. WB owns the licenses for them basically, and i doubt they will release them. Look what they are doing with the Looney Tunes IP. There trying to erase it. That is their logic to old things.
