that doesn't tell you if that is a phishing site or if it is secure for you to use, that just tells you the connection to the site is encrypted with a certificate. if you do not check and verify the certificate owner that is required for this lock to appear, this lock means nothing.
there are also phishing websites that open a fake window with a fake address bar and fake steam login.
you got at least phished. be happy when you didn't also install malware.
What's Counter Strike got to do, got to do, got do with it? What's Counter Strike but a second hand F-PEEE-S?
But yeah...scam.
Very possible.
Stop clicking on things and responding to random friend requests from people with FAAAABULOUS deals.
I DIDNT ACCEPTED ANY OF THE FRIEND REQUESTS 1st.
I WASN'T PLAYING CS:GO when that happened 2nd.
I Wasn't on any site that is linked to STEAM 3rd.
I Was on league of legends when everything happened 4.
I did just LOOK at the profile but NOT RESPONDED 5.
Now you need to get it and fix it as mentioned.
Scam messages are always an "opportunity". What a wonderfull day here is our offer..... Even if its about a ban.......
You need to understand it. Your details leaked. Of course you did not see the trap, as you stepped in it.
Either you gave these credentials away to a scam site or you used a contaminated device which captured them. Try and use your brain and think about it logically for a second and bear in mind this is the most common scam right now and you're the first person I've seen not to take any responsibility or offer acknowledgement.
*starts nodding head to the beat*
Dang it! … Now I've got a Tina Turner earworm!
Probably a good thing to do would be showing that profile to steam support or staff with the explanation what you did. Don't link it here in case it's actually somehow compromised with malicous code...
I'd love proof of this, please.
In approximately 99.9999% of these 'omg my account' issues, USER ERROR and USER CHOICES are to blame.
The extreme vast majority of all phished accounts and account compromises are because the user clicked when they shouldn't have. The extraordinarily rare cases of an actual HACK having been done, again: that's not what's happening here or across steam except in remarkably specific or very short moments before they're taken care of.
Individual accounts aren't hacked.
Individual accounts are phished.
Steam hasn't been 'hacked' - sending malicious links isn't hacking. It's phishing.

It happened in 2017. It sounded similar to what OP now descriped, that's why I brought it up.
The OP's issue is extremely common for the last 4-6 months with that specific kind of 'scare tactic'. It's got nothing to do with anything else. User error.
Sure:

I agree with you about most account compromises being simple phishing; I was replying to the commant above me, not the OP.
It's like being pregnant.
You either are, or are not. There's no inbetween with this.
