Banned From Payday 2 Forums.

Yesterday when the Enter the Gungeon crossover update came out i was excited to play the game with new content since i love both games. When i entered a lobby and started playing i noticed several bugs in the game which did not let us compelete the objective so i started searching in the forums about a topic about this and saw that one guy had some issues with the game so i posted some screenshots to his topic to notify the people and most importantly the developers. And today i got banned from the forums with the reason being ''cheating''. I cheated 3 years ago myself to get the cool looking deathwish mask and obtained it without the achievement. Many high level players said you're a cheater etc and kicked me everywhere so i decided to get the achievement for it and not use it until i get the achievement. And i did get it, it wasn't that easy but i didn't wanted to be tagged as a cheater because i hate cheaters myself. Since this is not a PvP game i didn't saw any bad reason to cheat a cool mask back in the day. After that i came across MANY cheaters in the game who are XXV-100 with 582/582 achievements unlocked etc. i'm really bored to find non cheater lobbies since it's really really hard. I join and leave the lobbies 6-7 times in a row and it's really boring to be honest, I just want to play the game. So i was not becoming infamy because i didn't see a point after V-100 to get the point reduction for skill trees. I had a lot of hours for my level, i had nearly 2-3 times more hours than X,XI,XIII... guys in the game and i was being kicked by every high level player that assumed i was a noob. Only some nice actual XXV-100 players checked my hours and let me play with them. So i started playing with cheaters to get exp and get to the level that i thought i deserved (It was around X-XII i think) and after that i started playing with non hackers and added some actual XXV friends to my friends list to play. I played high level crime sprees to get levels fast and get to XXV so i could keep my skills at 100 because it's max level and there's no more progress. I'm currently level XVII and i did not hack anything besides the deathwish mask (and some money but it got deleted in 2015 i think, i reset the game because i wasn't gaining anything important when i finish the heists because of the high money) And when i sent the screenshots in the forums i got banned today and i can't use my old weapons because i'm not a PAYDAY 2 group member anymore. Basically my build depended on these guns and while the real hackers who fly in the game and deploying 50 turrets in the game are playing without getting banned (i report them mostly through steam profiles) yet i'm here staying banned with nearly 540 hours. So in conclusion; Did i hack ? Yes, to get a cosmetic item and to get to a level which made sense with that many hours. Did i hack aganist people or violated the community ? I think the answer is no, i'm actually trying to help the community and i'm active on Payday 2 forums (not very much but still) trying to fix my crashes and help people who get the same problems as me. Overall i'm trying to say, this system is wrong in my opinion. Getting banned is not my concern, it's the moderators job and they are doing it, it seems like. But why the game's content gets blocked for my account ? I paid for the game and supported it before the devs made some odd decisions like ''Ultimate Edition'' which i was saving up my money for. (Not anymore it seems like) But real ''game effecting'' hackers are out there and since the game was free the hackers are now literally EVERYWHERE, and i don't even know which ''cheat'' got me banned. I just want to know that.

The moderator stated in the ban message what got you banned as well as what to do to get unbanned.

It's not specific though, in the message it says cheated achievement but there's 582 achievements and i have more than half of them, i used an in game cosmetic without unlocking the achievement for it and later unlocked it, that's the only one. (But i unlocked this achievement by doing it not with hack) Others are unlocked normally, so right now my every achievement is legit. Maybe it's the infamy achievements, because they are unlocked so fast ? To get unbanned it says delete everything and start over, but other than 6 levels of infamy (i'm infamy 17) everything is done by myself, and 6 levels of infamy is a result of playing with hackers, not hacking myself.

I'm sad that i cared about this game and paid money for it, the players who got it for free are hacking and playing without getting banned. When i posted in a thread to state a bug in the game i got banned. And i still don't know the specific reason.

Not too familar with Payday 2 myself, but 4 level of infamy with in 30 minutes seem a bit quick to me.

They see something specific on your profile or in the screenshots that points to a cheat or exploit of some kind having been used to get achivements. They don't know what one, only the effects of it.

They have given you a way to fix the issue and get unbanned as well.

Given the wall of text here, I suggest making a far shorter version (with paragraphs and better formatting) and ask them in the ban message. I doubt they will read what you posted here and most of it is irrelevant to the ban it's self. Even I have a hard time reading it.

Thanks for the information, yeah some guy with hacks gave us exp, but i already gained more exp than this but simply didn't leveled up to infamy so all my exp were just disappearing instead of storing. I was bored so i just leveled up with him. That's all, does this make me a hacker or a reason to get banned ? I already spent more effort to get this level, and this is a PvE game. I don't think that's hacking. Sorry for long posts English is my second language and i mainly use too much words to describe something.

And for the unban they want me to delete my legit content in the save and simply start over without any achievements unlocked but achievements are not hacked.

You are only banned in the forums, not in the game.

You still benefited from someone else hacking by getting those achivements.

If that is what they require for you to in order to access the forums, then that is up to you to decide.

Like I said, you should still be able to play the game, from my understanding, as there is no VAC/gameban on your profile.

That's my first ban on steam ever and i don't want it to be shown like that, plus i'm kicked from the PAYDAY 2 group so i can't access many of my items. So they cut content of my game. Anyways i think i will reset my progress, thanks again.
