Why are mods being listed as DLC?
I was looking at a game, and saw a bunch of DLC I didn't know about. Then, I saw "user-made."

"User-made content" is referred to as mods.

Just curious, why is Valve listing mods as DLC, and listing them directly alongside official DLC from the studios?

Valve does not list this as a DLC, the dev does that himself as he maintains the storepage and sets up everything.

doesn't matter how you call it, someone made it, a contract was made, content was officially integrated and put on sale.

counter-strike and team fortress, you know those games? mods for half-life.

Because the dlc developers are working in partnership with the Game developer to release it as DLC.
