Community Trading Forum?
This community needs a trading forum.

There is nowhere that one can go to do trading, it's always not available.

For example, years ago I was looking for a game, but I had a game in my inventory I had multiple copies of, so I wanted to trade it for the game I wanted.

But there was nowhere to be able to trade it.

I asked in some places, but there was never any replies.

Why isn't there somewhere like that?
I can't sell the games I have in my inventory, so I want to trade them, but I can't because there is nowhere to do so.

Wouldn't it be grand to have somewhere to do it?

if you want to do trading, you post in that game's trading forum.

It isn't in-game items though.
Please read what I post before you reply.

Games can no longer be stored in the inventory. Any game that is still in the inventory will still be there, but when redeeming or buying a gift, you can no longer store it in the inventory for later use. Too many users abused the system and used it to resell games.

So now people use outside sources and do worse than they could do here on Steam...
Should have kept it all here where it could be controlled.

Except People abused the gifting system to sell gifts on some shady third-party site which clearly violates the Steam Subscriber Agreement.

Doesn't have to be in-game, just related to that game.

If you have a copy of Half-life and want a copy of CS 1.6, you post the trade in either forum.

There is also the Steam Trading Card Group that is used for general trading, then there are user groups that also specialize in trading.

I don't know where they are. the ones that have the game don't want it because they have it. and the ones that have the other game aren't going to buy another copy of the game just to trade it, they would buy the game they want because they cost the same amount.

Games can not be traded anymore as it is, only gifted, so they would have to have it in their inventory from before the change.

There is a sub-forum list to the right on every game hub. One of the sub-forum states trade.

You would be running into the same issue in any trading sub-forum. Everyone wants a deal and is not willing to trade for a game with out getting one. Current market value for games is not what they go by either, they look at how cheap it was in the past and assume that everyone trading purchased it at that price.
