Steam achievement limit
OK< recently, Valve put a limit of 5,000 achievements for each game. I hope you guys are aware of it. The question is, does this apply to earlier games or only apply to games being released after Valve's limit?

Thanks.

Ask Valve themselves instead of us lowly community plebs.

Well The question is. How manay games even have 1L chievos?

This is just a guess on my part, but I would say it only applies to games being released going forward. If Valve made developers go back and retrofit their already released games to meet this new rule there'd be some very unhappy developers. Again, this is just a guess on my part.

Well just look for games with more than 5000 Achievements and check if they are capped or not
For example this game http://store.steampowered.com/app/628490/Zen_vs_Zombie_Achievment_Hunter/
It has over 10K achievements and they are all displayed
Would be interesting to know where you found this 5K achievement limit

EDIT:
OK I just found it by myslef xD

The 5k achievement limit was added by Steam 1 or 2 days ago. This game in question was released in 20 June 2017, before the limit policy took place. Hope this information helps.

Then I guess this is your answer
No this limit policy doesn't apply to games that have been released before the policy, only to those afterwards

It depends on if that game implemented its achievements already or not. You shouldn't buy a game based on achievements or silly crap like developers promising to put custom user images in their achievements.

At any rate, the answer should be pretty obvious. If you own the game then just look at the achievements for it.

A typical Valve "no real solution" fix.
5000 is still way too much and will lead to more super shovelware crap that only gets bought because it has thousands of achievements.
Take a zero away and then it would make more sense as a restriction.
But this a typical Valve "fix".

and now it'll be limited to 1000...
why valve keep fighting against profile design (badges and achievement symbols) when we need fight against hacked achievements and fake % leaderboard of achievers
