Valve Hammer Editor (CS:GO SDK etc.)
I just wan't to say that im generally disappointed in Hammer. It is awefully complicated to make maps. Background: I am a Unity3d Game Designer, and im used to incredibly simple level desigin unity has, why can't Valve make the same, I just wonder. OR why can't they just make it so that you make a level design in Unity3D and simply export the design as a map. Unity3D Devs are very friendly and this could happend. Everything can happend as long as you put your mind into it.. well to some extend anyways, shortly said
Hammer is complicated and toxic to work in, it's completly unfriendly and takes too much time even for experienced users to make maps, while in unity3d and other engines, level desigin takes 30 minutes if we compare to that desigin to what you could acomplish in hammer in 5 hours of work. Valve, Give us a simple drag & drop editor with nice brushes so we can make our ideas reality, or collab with unity or you don't need to, and just make an asset that allows exporting of a level in unity to a map in cs go. (This will also help you profit if you make it so you need to buy the asset on unity3d assetstore). Thanks for your time

Wait for Source 2 then, it's gonna be easier. Hammer is editor from 1997

Hammer is a tool with a 10 year long history. It's pretty old and the are gonna make it easier for their new engine probably.

just for dota2 including the updated hammer. dunno if you can use it for other games efficiently, probably not.
