Xbox 360 Controller drivers for Steam Mac

I suggest that Steam for Mac should include the X360 Controller DRIVERS. Like OnLive, they include the drivers without the drivers installed from online.

ya tbh xbox 360 controllers are for windows since windows is microsoft and microsoft is xbox mac isn't really compatible im supperised that mac has usb ports some dont even got those

Yes OnLive already includes Xbox 360 Controller DRIVERS for macs and windows. I even tested my Controller without the drivers I installed online from a different site.

For OS X Mavericks 10.x, you need to use the "unofficial" updated version of the tattiebogle driver found here: https://github.com/360Controller/360Controller

It's the best driver to use for mac. It even supports multiple controllers. :)

As of updating this, v0.15 beta 3 is the latest release.

Steam should integrate this driver into their install. However, since they now have their own controller, I doubt they ever will...

I will not go with that.. as really Microsoft need to come out with the Fix them self and something "unofficial" can update to something bad some time and i do not think that Valve will want to take a part in something they cant really trust even more when its not really there job to do it

Just an FYI: The current Steam recommended tattiebogle driver for the Xbox 360 Controller is an "unofficial" driver as well. There is no "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" Microsoft "Mac Supported" driver at all! They are ALL unofficial, and unsupported. ;)

If you want a "native" functioning controller, I hear the PlayStation Dualshock 3 (Bluetooth) works, but I have not tested it.

The "unofficial" tattieboogle driver is open-source (which means anyone can see the code), the updated (for Mac OS X 10.9) github version of that driver is also open-source, just published by a different author.

Umm, yes. All Macs do have USB ports and have had them since it was developed in 1997. I don't think you know what USB is, where it came from, why it exists, or what the big "U" stands for.
