It's the best driver to use for mac. It even supports multiple controllers. :)
As of updating this, v0.15 beta 3 is the latest release.
Steam should integrate this driver into their install. However, since they now have their own controller, I doubt they ever will...

Just an FYI: The current Steam recommended tattiebogle driver for the Xbox 360 Controller is an "unofficial" driver as well. There is no "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" Microsoft "Mac Supported" driver at all! They are ALL unofficial, and unsupported. ;)
If you want a "native" functioning controller, I hear the PlayStation Dualshock 3 (Bluetooth) works, but I have not tested it.
The "unofficial" tattieboogle driver is open-source (which means anyone can see the code), the updated (for Mac OS X 10.9) github version of that driver is also open-source, just published by a different author.
