Sure it'll run it on lowest settings at a freakishly unplayable framerate, if at all.

You need an actual graphics card like a 960 or 980 or such even an older GTX 760 4Gb card will run it decently.

Run out and grab a nvidia card for around 120-150 bucks. It won't be top of the line, but itll be enough to play the game on some medium/lower settings just fine. I used a cheap Zotac GT 740 ($75) for a while and it served me well enough in most all games. Even BF Hardline (which i uninstalled after a week and haven't touched since :P )

Oh you should look into getting a graphics card ASAP, you can get a GTX 750 TI online for around 150 US dollars. Its not that great of a card but its cheap and will allow you to play most games on medium-high settings.

Best to get yourself console if you want to play latest games and dont have much money, PC capable of running those decently will cost at least twice as much.

He already has a decent i5 and 8 GB of RAM, all he needs is a decent graphics cards which he can get for less then a console.

I have an console but I hardly play gta v on it but I am starting to adjust to pc more rather than console. Also like I said, most of my friends own a pc and are also planning to get gta v

If he has desktop that doesnt have some extra slim case then he needs GTX 960 and new 450-500W power supply since desktops with integrated graphics have crap 220-300W power supplies. Gone still cost him about $250.

Still less then a 400 dollar console, but the OP already has a console anyways.

The OP also mentioned he already had it on console but wanted it on PC so he could play with his friends.
