Why is trash-talking in games such a crime anymore?

It’s pathetic, lmao. Truly. I’m not saying to allow straight up racism and slurs, but to get issued bans in games for saying things such as “Get ♥♥♥♥♥♥!” or “Haha your team is trash!” is so soft. It makes gaming fun and adds a competitive element sometimes. Developers and tissue-paper gamers need to get a grip.

And yes, it really is that simple to “just mute them” if you don’t like it.

It's not as simple as just muting them. I can still build stuff in-game in a particular shape, so that it would offend someone. Or I could draw images or words on a wall by shooting at the wall.

Just muting the text and voice chat is not enough. It can still find a way.
