Yahtzee once remarked that Blood has the best, most detailed 'enemy on fire' sprite and animations.
I would say the most satisfying screams are from the Nazi Elitewachen in Return to Castle Wolfenstein. I wonder if they recorded them themselves, or were lazy and used a sound library.

Most games have flamethrowers with absurdly short range - which would be suicidal if the user wasn't simply immune from burning themselves.
