Forgotten PC games from the 90's (MS-DOS/Windows 95/98)
I recently came across an old adventure game whose name I had completely forgotten. For referance, it was "Galador - The Prince and the Coward" (1998). And this event triggered a wave of “ancient memories”.

So please, if you have some time, help grandpa remember the names of the games described below that are lost in his memories so that he can finally sleep peacefully :)

----------------

1) This is a first person shooter. I played it around 1999-2000.

2) The events of the game (or at least the very beginning) take place on an alien spaceship (or alien base?). The shooter was comic and the style was rather closer to cartoonish.

3) When the character ran out of ammo, he used a "magic spoon" that shot telekinetic balls. Or at least it looked like a spoon :)

It's Chex Quest (1996). Thanks to Bing Chilling and Electric Cupcake.

----------------

There is one more game that I would like to find. I played it around 1999-2001.

1) This is a 2D puzzle adventure/platformer, the first levels of which take place in a pyramid (or catacombs) filled with traps, scorpions, snakes and mummies (?).

2) Your character begins each level in a certain place and you had to interact with the environment extremely carefully, since any object had to take its strictly defined place in order to successfully complete the level. Many puzzles revolve around the inability to correct your previous actions. If you jump down from a platform, then quite often you will not be able to return back.

3) The game was in some ways similar to modern "Spelunky", but the levels were much, much smaller. You could literally see the entire level on the screen.

All of a sudden I found it! It's "Challenge of the Ancient Empires!" (1990).

I thought Chex Quest as well, but it doesn't start in a ship.

Guys, you did it. The first game is actually 1996's Chex Quest.

The style of the second game is very similar to Pharaoh's Ascent, but I think the main character didn't even have the ability to jump up. But I could be completely wrong.

Was it Solomon's Key? It was on NES and DOS.

Quake Live is not real Quake.

There is some possibility that the second game could be some kind of product from local developers. Like the original Moorhuhn. The only difference is that the game I described remained unknown forever.
I played a D&D game that ran on DOS in high school. It had all the races, and classes, and you could even do multi-classing. It had a world map (which was very pixelated in MS-DOS style) and had random encounters where you would run into enemies as you traveled the map.

I have gone through lists of MS-DOS games trying to find it and haven't been able to. I borrowed it from a friend and I forget what it was called. I only played it for a few weeks.

A lot of games from back then are just gone.

The second game sounds a bit like Boulder Dash.
Randomly grabs one stack of floppies.....

Chaos! - Cosmi Corporation

Tarzan The Epic Adventures

Doom 2

Star control 1 & 2

Theatre of War Strategy and conquest in real time

Patriot

Some sherlock holmes game?

Have more too.. frankly I don't remember playing any of them other than Star Control and Doom 2
My favorite is Sim Theme Park, also known as Theme Park World.
