That one mosquito in your bedroom

Am I the only one who has that one mosquito waking you up at 3:30am (witching hour) buzzing in the ear? So you go and kill it, just for it to be replace by another single mosquito the following night.

I seriously hate mosquitoes...

What's the best way to get rid of them from your bedroom?

I'm think of covering my bedroom in catnip and deal with cats rather than mosquitoes visiting me at night.

One of my kittens absolutely is set on hunting them all down.

It's great.

I suppose you could try one of those bug nets you can set up over the bed.

I've got fly spray and use that to kill the mosquito. It's not that effective, but works.

Yet it's always just one mosquito in the bedroom at a time, then it's like they actually take turns replacing the fallen one.

I do have the windows and door closed during the night. Perhaps I wake up too early for work in the mornings? As I'll open them during the day for some fresh air to cycle.

Somehow they keep getting in.

This. But actually not a curtain at the windows, but a fixed thing which You can remove for cleaning the outer frame if You care for that.

Else: I agree that mosquitoes are annoying, and they usually fly around the ear shortly before one falls asleep.

Depending on the type of mosquito, they like to spend their time in different parts of the apartment or house. Some mosquitoes actually lay eggs in a drain (that's why those should be occasionally cleaned). Food and moisture are magnets for some mosquitoes. Pipes need to be taken care of and making sure there aren't leaks. So generally, it's more than just blocking the window to reduce the risk of mosquitoes taking over the property.
