Also, not being an apex makes you food. Think about how that would feel.
Watching Evil Dead and Friday the 13th in the 80's quickly changed my mind about wanting to stay in the woods
♥♥♥♥, that's news to me as the one a few miles from me must have disappeared then.
There's nothing manly about it though. It's just some people like to bugger around in nature. Id o too, doesn't make me manly, nor girly.
I do like to wander in forests and always have. I grew up in a place in Bedfordshire where literally the end of our road was the entrance to a massive woods. We'd play there for hours.
Perhaps that influenced why I like them.
But aside from that, living in the countryside anyway I've always found pretty cool too. Wandering around in total darkness at night and camping out in weird places has just been part of growing up.
Nowt wrong with that.
I wouldn't see it as a step back. Sometimes, less is just more, you know?
Even without preparation, I would probably survive longer than if I would have to go live in New York City for example. I'd probably jump off a building within a week.
And even if I would know I would die within a week, it could very likely be the best week of my life, really living...
I grew up on a little farm between two city borders. I climbed in trees, I made hay camps... I consider myself as lucky.
Now I live in a more rural area. I see a tree here and their between the fields and theirs a tiny piece of forest not so far from here.
But it wouldn't only be about the green (which has proven helping mental well-being by the way). In my case, it would be more about the going away as far as possible from humanity.
You do know its possible to have internet and electricity in a cabin in the woods, right?
And not every forested housing area is an off-grid situation.
Now if they are some "F**kcars redditor" that talks about "muh walkable cities" and how many mocha-latte-hipster-frappuccinos they chug a day at $10 a shot... Yeah they wouldn't survive being in nature.
the buffalo just looked at me like I was crazy.
Yes I do, I have stopped in one in York, UK many christmas's ago, it was really nice.
Same hipsters are the ones who complain about the cost of living and cost of housing being un-affordable too.
A most excellent movie.
its not that bad.
And all he wanted was something to eat.
