Why doe Windows 98 are better than Windows 11!!
Believe me it make sense, and I will explain why.

1. Windows 98 are 87 version ahead from Windows 11
2. You can now set wallpaper gif without using third party program.
3. Finally microsoft understand that people want something nostalgia so they decide to make windows 98 interface look Retro.
4. was faster and lightweight than Windows 11
5. no account requirement for installation!
6. microsoft finally hearing feedback , they decide to make taskbar and menu bar look more easily to use.
7.with Plus, You can customize your desktop more!!
8.microsoft doe something really cool, You can now play game from 1990s without any problem!

Windows 98 are the future of Windows 11!!! :3
(if microsoft still using number as version of next release)

Windows 2000 says hi.

Unsurprisingly I'm with Tito here.

Windows 98 was a big step forward at the time, much like Windows 3.1 was. But 2000 was something else as it was perhaps the best refinement at the time. So many things just worked.

98 was fine and dandy for it's day.

Good luck in finding hardware that can run it today.

Despite the fond memories, users likely are going to chafe at it's limitations if they tried using it as anything more than a novelty.

I've lived through all the Microsoft operating systems, But at my age i don't care anymore, As long as i can play what i want etc, Then i just don't care.

Like when some people hated the idea of XP...

Windows 98 were great for gaming. As were the XP.

I don't like windows 10/11.

On the other hand, you'll experience crashes on Windows 98 a lot.
Don't you like to live dangerously? Sheesh, I thought we shouldn't be so afraid of adversity, what has the modern life done to us men? We used to hunt mammoths with bare feet and dodging sabertooth tigers, and now a few crashes is too inconvenient? I shake my head is disbelief.

after 11, if the number continues, someday they will hit 95 again.
This. I hear Win 12 is in the works.

Microsoft has always been working a couple generations ahead though, but because the current trajectory is toward a dung heap, more versions aren't too enticing and almost disappointing.
A microcosm of a larger reality of I suppose, lol.

15 years ago I was excited for advancements but it's a poison pill

Because it hasn't accumulated the bloatware and spying ♥♥♥♥ that windows 11 has.
Been hearing that same tune ever since the dawn of WinXP

Do yourself a favor and use Windows 2000 instead.

And you'll continue to hear it. Because that's the reality.

For every improvement they add twenty things that aren't necessary. While having less and less compatibility with software made for older versions.

Change is neither good or bad. People simply react to it as good or bad.

People do, however, tend to rely on things that work. BECAUSE THEY WORK.

Lastly, these versions are annoying. Spending 3-5 YEARS learning everything about a version? That doesn't matter. Here's a new one! Learn how to do everything again.

Figure out why things don't work, again. (This time for different reasons!) Figure out if the problem is the new or old version. Figure out what they renamed everything in Control Panel this time. Figure out why the printer won't connect to the network. (Even though it did before.) Run every thing worse than the previous version. (For around 16 months.)

If MS was like, "Hey yo we got all these new features. It's totally different than anything you've seen, and nothing like it is available to you." I'd be in. I'd be excited.

Instead, it's the same thing. Rearranged and more difficult to use. EVERY TIME.

I agree, but the color scheme of the program was horrible.
