PS4 Conntroller DualShock 4 USB Wireless Adaptor

Does anyone knows if DualShock 4 controller will be working normally on steam or PC games or it will be on PSNow only?

Unfortunately it doesn't work as we'd like, yet. My DS4 paired quickly with the adapter, the adapter is seen by Windows, you can see the inputs working under the old school Gamepad Preferences in Control Panel, Steam even lets you control Big Picture mode with it and matches the correct controller inputs to a graphic of the XBox controller in the controller menu, but no games I've tried recognise the controller (Fez, Portal 2, Saints Row 3, Joe Danger, Elite). The current DS4Windows doesn't recognise the controller either, hopefully a future update will help us.

Has anyone got their DS4 with Wireless Adapter setup working in any games yet?

This works fine on the PC with DS4Windows. The Toshiba ones with CSR are the only ones that are not working for me.

With the steamlink (Steam hardware) you can connect DS4 controllers instantly without needing any other hardware or software. Just keep the PS + share button pressed while pairing within the bluetooth menu.

Wut? The thing is that DS4windows is supposed to let your PC recognise the DS4 as XBOX, right? If you just tell us what exactly doesn't work, there's probably a fix for that specific issue.

The only issue I had with DS4 is that in steam games the controls were inverted (Because controllers was recognised 2x, causing up being down and down being up) I fixed this by ticking the box saying "Hide DS4 controller" in settings, so it only shows as a XBOX controller. And that's exactly what it's supposed to be doing. Recognising it officially as a PS4 controller isn't going to work..

Thanks for the reply. I was using my PCs internal Bluetooth to pair the controller, but had to pair it every day and it kept disconnecting mid game, so I wanted to try the adapter.

I used DS4Windows and it was great, both wired and on Bluetooth, but now with the adapter it doesn't show as connected at all so the PC no longer recognises the controller as XBox. The controller shows up in control panel and the Sony Remote Play app though, so I know it's connected to the PC, DS4 just can't see it at all. Any advice?

That sucks I would love the DS4 to be used offcially guess I will change mine from SteelSeries Stratus XL to XBOX One controller

I use a cronusmax - www.cronusmax.com You can connect a DS4 to it using a bluetooth dongle and it uses a virtual machine on the usb stick to convert the DS4 outputs to Xbox outputs. That way the PC thinks a 360 controller is connected.

I just picked up the adapter and am woefully underwhelmed. I know my PC can see it but nothing recognizes its existance. Is there anywere saying sony will increase its capabilties or did I just waste $25?

I have and hated every min of using the thing. I dont have a great room set up that allows the use of a corded controller.

It will work the same as a PS4 controller already does on a PC. Some games, it will work, some it will not.

Chances are you will need a 3rd party program to get it working on all games, just as you do now.

I almost purchased it and a DS4 controller until I found that it will still work that way.

Just set up using my Dualshock 4 controller with the official Sony Bluetooth Adapter. I kept all of my previous settings with Inputmapper, just downloaded the necessary patch to get that software working with Sony's bluetooth dongle.

As responsiveness and latency goes, everything seems perfect. The problem is when I hit Steam Big Picture Mode: for some reason in BPM, it registers my X button presses as two instant presses. This has led to all sorts of navigation snafus, like being unable to select my filter list among other things.

I haven't been able to find a fix for this. Can someone help me out?

I use InpuitMapper too(It's awesome, love it), is it fair to say that this adapter just replaces the wire? Also can you still change the keybindings you choose using the adapter?

As a side note, once it connects to the adapter does it disconnect from the PS4?
