The bards in Assassin's Creed 2, I get a sense of sheer terror and paranoia when they are around, the fact that they can be templars trying to lure Ezio out of hiding. The fact that they expose everything you have done. The fact that they disrupt you in the middle of an important errand! They just cannot be trusted, and I hide in haystacks everything I see them come toward me. Gives me heebie jeebies every time.

Just plain downright scary? The villagers in Dark Corners of the Earth. LEAVE ME ALONE YOU LUNATICS. As a tie, I would say Pigsey from Manhunt.

The PLAYER CHARACTER.

Think about it...

Most player characters in games are one person genocide machines.

One guy mowing down monsters and zombies and other humans while he usually has regenerating health and skill points and level ups and massive arsenals they can store on their person all at once.

Those monsters were just fine on their own doing whatever monster things they do, then comes along the one man army player character killing everything in sight with their neverending supply of guns or swords.

Link from the Zelda games breaking into people's houses and smashing all their stuff and taking their rupees, and we are supposed to think he is the good guy?

That one ghost in fatal frame. You go down a staircase, and at the bottom you hear a woman scream. The ghost drops like a sack of bricks, hits the floor, breaks its neck, then spider crawls toward you screaming and moaning with her head flopping around.

Then when you catch her with a shot, it happens all over again. And again. And again.

That and the ghost from P.T. that time where you turn around and she's just there....

For me? The Mainliner from the Suffering series, like absolutely no contest! The damned thing reminds me of recent events too, so it immediately becomes all the more creepier

Lament from “The Evil Within 2”. It’s a tall deformed monster which appears to have 2 bodies twisted and infused with each other. His scream will drain all of your stamina and if he grabs you he will throw up acid vomit on your face killing you.

It’s a very good Survival Horror game. Try it out.
