I work at certain msuci festivals, in the disabled campsites. It's something I'm pretty acute with as for obvious reasons. I've always found it yucky because quite simply, unless it's a disability in itself, there's no good reason for it.
they seem to employ the most out of touch people in the world.
Also overly charismatic types. Or more specifically, forced charisma. Genuine charisma is pretty good, but there's a kind of forced charisma that makes me feel like the person has an ulterior motive. Like, they'll laugh at your jokes, but the laugh sounds fake, or they'll act interested in what you're saying, but you can't shake the feeling that they actually don't care.
Additionally, loud, rude, "macho" types who act like they have something to prove. They always seem to be on the lookout for someone to fight, and their insecurities are out on display for all to see, but they try (ineffectively) to cover up those insecurities with some kind of tough-guy "I'm the baddest mofo with the biggest schlong around, and I will fight anyone who thinks otherwise" coat of paint.
toxic, loud, chip on their shoulders, obnoxious, usually spoiled, generally in some state of rage or self hate, know-it-all's and braggart.
either in-game or IRL at cons or tournaments i've seen all of the above and seeing it IRL is a comical thing... i sadly avoid other gamer's as much as humanly possible now though.
online, pretty much no one.
because this is a moderated environment and its OFF-TOPIC, not everyone here is actually a gamer. I frequent many forums and this is just 1 stop along the line.
I am talking gamers in-game/MP or in person. MP I 100% avoid now unless with family. I've been apart of and watched LoL in-person tournaments and the pure rage and hate is so crazy, its comical. like some SNL skit. I avoid all IRL interaction with anyone who claims they are a 'gamer' or areas where they congregate. Cons, tourneys, arcades, game-stops, etc.
Pretty much the same
