What's the coolest car?
VW Beetle painted in hippie motives?

Two seater sporty roadster?

A van with black windows?

What would you say?

From 1984 to 1998, most iconic designs appeared one after the other in automobile world, from daily routine cars to LeMans and Formula 1, from ultra luxurious models to ultra rare sports cars, this period was unforgettable. Even the fictional but iconic Batmobile design belong to this era.

If we are talking the "Coolest" of "Cool" cars... The 1989 Tim Burton Batmobile would be on the top of that list.

It was also my choice -by design terms-, as i wrote in here back in December 2020.

Chevrolet Corvette C5 from 1997 somehow reminds me of that Batmobile in some ways, so i have a soft spot for that car and Dodge Viper GTS-R from same year.

Furthermore, Italdesign Scighera and Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Edition deserves a mention here as well as Ford GT-90.

There are several gamers out there who didn't see that Scighera yet. It is/was an awesome machine that can take the stress/depression out of you just by standing still next to yourself, with a cold engine.

LAMBORGHINI EGOISTA

If this was all black it would be batmobile too.

Coolest car is one that has a working AC.
Has someone already said "The coolest car is one that was crashed into a frozen lake in the middle of winter?"

If not, I want to get in on that dad tier level cringe joke first!
I'm glad I haven't seen anyone say this hunk of crap.

Once I get a motor vehicle it will probably be some Diesel 3/4 or larger pickup since I'll also want an RV to live in and long story short the kind with the most storage space requires a truck (it isn't actually the type you think it would be) and I like the idea of being able to use SVO in emergencies.

My favorite truck would probably be the Titan XD Diesel just because of how much of an oddity it was in the market but I'll probably end up getting an old ~1980's 1-ton like an F350 or Chevy CK.

Definitely. I think the problem with modern designs is the often used cop-out known as 'minimalism'.

I think minimalism is an important engineering design principle, but this obsession with reducing design features and costs so that the car has less metal than a coke can is a joke.

If you look at how Tesla make their cars they don't even weld the bodies properly, they just do tiny little spot welds which help fuse the body to the frame while glue is actually holding the whole thing together. And the weird looking front end of Tesla's along with the dashboard are uglier than a dog's breakfast. I just wish there were some sexier EV's around and that other car brands can knock Tesla off their EV mantle. Telsa and Elon Musk are no good for car manufacturing in the long run.
The one I got hit by in 2010 was pretty cool. Only because it had the chutzpah to pick a fight with me. It lost, naturally, but then again I've walked away from worse.

Course, I'm being figurative here. Personally, I've more respect for people who own a truck as that shows me they're a hard worker. I like hard workers. Don't know much about cars personally myself but I'd like a truck someday myself - if I can learn how to drive.
Probably decent, but bad name choice:

Its a car with a-peel!
As someone who grew up in the 1970s, I've always thought the Lamborghini Miura is the coolest looking car.

I had an MX-5 once and that was really cool. Cooler than I'd hoped in fact. Excellent fun.
