For those of you who missed it, the creator of Pepe filed a copyright claim and Steam removed all the Pepe emoticons from Steam. Well, sorta. Anyone who owns one just gets a blank space when they use it.

What do you all think about it?

Personally, I find it hilarious that they're gone.

I see your profile no longer claims that you're from "Niger" although the racial slurs are still there in your profile comments and the homophobic slur and the emoticon swastika.

The point is that you obviously have ulterior motives in defending pepe. You're one of the reasons why the creator goes out of his way to send take-down notices to people misusing it, not because it's just some harmless picture of a frog but because of edgy little kids who thinks it's funny to use it as a racist symbol.

It's no point to continue arguing with you because you're just going to keep pretending like you're the victim being personally persecuted because someone looked at your Steam profile god forbid and called you out on your bullcrap. Your little passive-aggressive trolling is about as original as Conway repeatedly defending and posting about how "Hitler dindu nuffin is just a joke huh huh, you don't get it." It's a f­ucking meme frog. The whole point was that it was stupid of furie to try and DMCA it. He's trying to exert control over a picture that doesn't even hold resemblence over the original work. It's amusing because of how pointless it was, all it does is make him look like a jack­as­s.

Why should I care? Why should he care? Why should you care? People were also saying the "ok" hand gesture was a sekrit white power symbol. It's inherently meaningless. Everything is racist/sexist/homophic etc. All you need to be is whiny enough to get on the news. Again, the reason I said the DMCA was stupid was because the picture in the emotes doesn't represent his IP. Especially the emote since it's entirely different in design. This entire deal is nothing more than a temper tantrum. Imagine if coca cola sued bethesda because "nuka cola" looks like coca cola bottles. That's how ridiculous it is.

His deal is on par with the finebros copyrighting reaction videos. That too would also never hold up in court. But the problem is the idea is so pointless that no one has bothered to challenge it. So we'll just let him throw his fit and get on with it. It's not going to stop people from using smug frogs and certainly not going to stop the literally hitlers.
