I used the v1.0.5q10 one, if that was the correct one.
Lemme explain what I'm trying to do first.
I'm basically trying to play youtube music videos. Most of the time, the video starts fine, but if I want to pause it, there's a huge delay, like 5-10 seconds and it's all random.
The cursor appears to glitch into existence and out superfast, and it makes the playbutton flicker.
When I'm clicking, it thinks I'm double clicking or clicking alot of times or so, and thus activates youtube fullscreen.

Not only the angle, but using the index controllers with OVRdrop is almost impossible.
It appears to randomly click hundreds of times, and sometimes not.
I even used steamvr binding menu and disabled everything but the right controller's click button, and yet....
When can we see support for index controllers?
What does "nothing happened" mean?
I don't mind 60 bucks or more, since it's Halo.

Nope, none of that. That is absolutely free in every way.
The only thing you need is space on your harddrive and knowledge how to use unity, making your own avatars or worlds and uploading them.

Because there are some abusers and script kiddies that use a cheat client to disconnect other players. Could be that.

In topic Problem with a Avatar
That means the owner of the public avatar has either deleted it, or set it to private, which means there is nothing you can do until they update it, if they will.
You can try to find the person if you know who it is, and ask them to.

In topic HELP ME MY UNITY IS F**KED!
You need Unity 2017.4.15f1 which you can download from here
https://unity3d.com/unity/qa/lts-releases
Do NOT update it to the latest version - it NEED to be 15f1 at the end of the name.
-
You also need a vrchat account(not steam one) and login in on the vrchat
website https://www.vrchat.net/ and download the VRCSDK version 2018.12.19.17.03
and import it into unity.
-
If you already have unity that you wanna repair - make sure at the top left that it says 2017.4.15f1 (I cannot stress this enough, because you won't be able to upload an avatar with a later version)
and if you have somehow goofed your SDK, you need to close unity, and go in through explorer
and find the following files:
Plugins folder
VRCSDK folder
Plugins.meta
VRCSDK.meta
and delete them. Just throw them in the trash and start unity up again, then re-import
the 2018.12.19.17.03 VRCSDK version and you should be good to continue.

In topic are VR headsets worth buying in 2019?
There are also the mixed reality headsets, but they are worse that oculus and vive,
and once you've tried the vive or the oculus, you probably never wanna go back to
the mixed reality ones.
Feb 6 @ 11:14am
In topic are VR headsets worth buying in 2019?
Oculus Rift and HTC vive still use 3 year old garbage technology and the vive Pro one is basically the same with a tiny improvement and insane overprice.
All stated above worth buying in 2019? Definitely NOT.
-
You should wait for Pimax and see if the reviews are good, and wait for the upcoming and rumored valve headset that comes out god-knows-when.
You can .. *sigh....* try pointing your eyes to the Vive Cosmos but I severely recommend you to
wait for reviews because chances are, that the headset is just garbage.
It's HTC, after all.
And don't even look at the HTC vive pro eye unless it costs -at most- 800 euro WITH!! 2.0 base stations. jesus christ they are still selling those idiotic potato controllers...........

For real?!

I don't understand their endgame for them to stay afloat for their VR game? I thought maybe down the line there would be some sort of monetization.. But a threadless store I don't think is enough. What's their intentions?
Nah, this store is probably just a strategy to buy some time until they figure out another way, and/or to give people an idea that they are supporting the game - AND getting something out of it.
I wouldn't mind paying 5-10 bucks once, to be able to play the game if it meant supporting it.
(a monthly subscription will definitely kill the game, however.)
Maybe they can get cozy with valve, samsung and pimax and more funding them and testing out their new technologies with VRChat, like real eye tracking, finger tracking, hand tracking, omnidirectional treadmills etc etc etc. Just like HTC with the fullbody tracker pucks.
Maybe a VIP membership could work, like Ferb above me mentioned, although
at the end of the day it means nothing. It doesn't appeal enough. ....Maybe you'll get some sort of badge next to your name or whatever. Hopefully that doesn't create more segregation like it did with the ranks, so I don't know if this will do.
I could think of adding hundreds of achievements for VIP players, and giving non-VIP players
a limited avatar slots like 10-20, and one world you can't publish publicly, but VIP can.

There's endless ideas to get some sort of income to continue supporting the game, but most of them will disappoint a partition of the player base, no matter what - because people will always want a free game to stay a free game. Because people are selfish.
