First of all, I would try "old" games. Such as CS:S, or even CS.They obviously are way easier to run than CS:GO (especially after the GUI update ^^)
Half Life would also be worth trying. But, if you only want to fulfill a challenge, just run Tetris or something similar and you managed to run a Steam game on that laptop^^
Kind Regards
Riyeko
You could feasibly have a laptop that is just old, in which case, with some tweaking you might be able to play AAA games to some degree.
But you might have a newer one with a crappy integrated graphics chipset from Intel or similar which means most games won't even run at all.
The devil's in the details.
This.
I suggest posting specs of the laptop for better advice. If you do not know your specs, you can post the make and model and we may be able to look it up.
Some laptops have to GPUs in them as well and you could currently be set to use the lesser of the two.
Alright so it's a Packard Bell laptop with an Intel Celeron N2820 @ 2.13GHz CPU and 4GB RAM. Idk any other specs of it. Not sure if it'll help but thanks for the advice.
Edit:I found a link after searching online that looks identical to my laptop.
Here's the link: {ENLACE ELIMINADO}https://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/refurbished_grade_a1_packard_bell_te69_4gb_1tb_windows_8.1_laptop__a1-te69bm/version.asp
Sad to say, you are lucky you can get ANY games to run that aren't mobile ports. These laptops aren't designed for gaming at all. Intel graphics chipsets are just for laptops for home or light business use.
This is a common mistake that many less experienced users make - they go for a cheap laptop, thinking "this seems like a good deal", and there's the massive problem. No dedicated graphics card of any use for gaming.
There's no way round this. All you can do is trial and error, which I can't recommend buying games on Steam to do that as you'll waste money.
If you need a laptop for gaming, like I do, you're going to need to get another, and you'll need something that has decent graphics capabilities. The one I recently bought was new old stock MSI GF62 - it has a GTX1050 in it, and cost £500.
That should give you some guidance as to what price we're talking.
A Celeron one, though, usually isn't decent enough. So for this particular laptop, it's gonna be a struggle to play games, indeed.
Can't really find which HD graphics it is.
That's pretty much what I said. You can't rely on it, as it'll run some games, others not well, and some not at all.
I've also seen people with the same chipset run a game fine, and others not at all.
Point I was trying to make is that these aren't generally supported and you're more likely to find games don't run than ones that will.
Yeah, the not being able to find which HD graphics it is in the ad generally tells you it's something they don't want to talk about :)

They did reviewed things like Morrowind and Portal, which are pretty hefty titles. But apparently, they also used classic/retro hardware to curate certain titles.
The question remains: is the hardware they used slow enough to match yours?
It´s sort of shameful, these game titles on Steam don´t get tagged for running on integrated graphic cards. With a laptop all is integrated of course. But still. There could be a tag for it. It´s just impossible to find a word for it.
