Ok. my Friend on steam and discord. is pretending he doesnt know who i am

i have a friend. his real name is Kean. IRL that is. and now. suddenly. i wake up. its today. and now hes pretending his name is andrew. and making up names like Andrew.famin.. sams? . when i know who he is. ive asked him to stop roleplaying and faking the identity. then he blocks me.. but then he comes back to play a game with me .. and i know its not a sibling because he has the exact same voice. and in games like besiege. his saved builds that he made. he claims hes never made them. is this alzheimers? or a pity roleplaying joke?

i cant visit him in real life hes all the way up in canada. or so his steam profile says. he told me he's kean. it cant be compromised because i talk with him in discord and its obviously my friends voice can easily recognize it but he still thinks he doesnt know who i am. im convinced its roleplay i dont need your guys help on this yes it is a personal matter. but i do want this: theorys. i guess on why or what could cause him to do so

So ... where does the IRL (in real life -> offline) comes into play here? Because these are things you should know about your friends.
Else, it's probably his idea of being funny or he doesn't want anything to do with you anymore for whatever reason.

The way I understand, your friend does in fact not know who you are. Because you have never met. Of course it does not know who you are, if you have never shook hands. And even then, chances are slim he would know who you are.

If you ask me, you're getting upset about something that is a complete non-issue. Your mate, partner, thing, Kean-Andrew, whatever-you-call-it, simply changed it's avatar name.
