What does this have to do with Steam?
you want to udnerclock the GPU and reduce the ammount you can mine? In the end you pay more for electricity then you gain out of it as the GTX 1050 Ti is simply to unefficient for it.
And to answer that question,I have nowhere else to post this so sorry if it has nothing to do with steam
Unclocking doesnt reduce power draw... udnerclcokign just reduce the performance and icnrease stability. Undervolting reduce power draw and tempreture whill reducing stability.
I knew everyone is gonna say this when I asked but I dont need much.If there would be any chance of making any progress with this, tell me what I need to do
well depending on where you mine even if you dont need much and the power is kinda low, you pay more then you gain. It is not just the GPU that requires power but also the CPU, the Motherboard RAM and everything else. Also your PSU requires power too. If you got a 80+ White rated PSU and would use 400W for your PC, the PSU is going to draw 500W. SO in the end you always make a loss with a GTX 1050 Ti, thats why nobody else uses it. Its like earning in the end 0.50$ per day and then have to pay 10$ at the end of the week for the electricity.
However if you really insist on throwing away money then:
1. Downlaod and install MSI Afterburner
2. Drop the GPU Clockrate in that programm to any negative rate you lik
3. Lower the Voltage (Be aware that playing with voltage can reduce stability and or break your GPU not covered by the warranty. You do it at your own risk)
btw:
0.085 kWh/USD <- very "uncommon" way to write that, that would be $12 per kWh if you read it
lets fix that.
0.085 USD/kWh. 8.5cent per kWh.
and with that everyone else here wants to move to your country, because that is dirt cheap.
but how much do i undervolt
if you keep the power draw adaptive even into a neagtive area which you dont when changing settings and OCing/UCing.
If I have 1.35V with 1.8GHz Clock I will draw less power with 1.0GHz clock but still 1.35V?
Sorry I assuemed the Volt is the Power factor and wattage is Volt multiplied with Ampere and not the clockrate but I mussed have missed physic lessons.
If you really need extra money fast, get a job. If you already have a job, do overtime or get another part time job.
You're not going to make any money with a single 1050ti mining.
The correct formula to get the amps is I=Cvαf , where I is the current, C is the load capacitance, v is the voltage, α is the activity factor, and f is the switching frequency.
Lower frequency gives lower amps gives lower wattage.
