Depends. Got a friend that has an EVO. And another friend with a K5 blazer with a 454
Cars have never been cool to me.
Ricers are idiots no matter what. All show and no go. When you put a big dorky spoiler on the back of a front wheel drive car, or a radio system that weighs more than the engine, or wheels that are heavier and cost more than the car itself... It is just plain moronic.

Tuners and Muscle Cars and Sleepers, I love and respect.

I do my fair share of "Backyard Mechanic" work.

Got involved with German tuners, late 90s and early 2000s Audis and VWs, but eventually started heading back towards American muscle as the german cars were just too freakishly expensive and overly complicated. I did like VAGCOM though, could modify and tune the cars with a laptop

I used to canyon race a modified 2001 Volkswagen Passat wagon "sleeper/tuner", looked bone stock on the outside as all the modifications were done to the suspension, brakes, transmission, engine, and computer. Was always great when police showed up, I was just the guy driving through in my "family wagon". ^_^

Used to drag race a blue and silver striped 1971 Ford Mustang Mach1 with a 351 Cleveland edelbrock crate motor.

Always been a fan of the 1950s 1960s and early 70s American classic, andtique, and muscle cars more than anything else... I keep heading back to the big old American V8s. Was raised in a car nut household, I've driven and worked on more cars than most people know even exist.

Got FoMoCo and Mopar in my veins.
Both muscle and tuners, but I hate the super cars put into racing games...
Muscle and electric.

Fun fact: Electric vehicles are blowing away muscle cars on drag strips now.

Yup... Too bad you can't roadtrip in an electric though, and they still get their power from "dirty energy", and take hours to recharge, and are much more expensive, and can't be worked on by a normal mechanic or modified. There needs to be some revolutionary shift in battery design and cost reduction before electrics are anything more than expensive city hipster bait. Once they can beat gas and diesel cars in every way, they will have a better chance.

Personally I think hydrogen and hydrogen fuel cell powered cars are the future and will help muscle cars as well since converting a car to hydrogen is almost the same as converting a car to CNG... I got to play around with one of the "BMW Hydrogen 7" Dual Fuel cars back in my college days along with the Honda Clarity and some hydrogen toyota I can't pronounce the name of that is just starting to be sold now.

You wanna get killed, you go to texas and say that out loud.
Muscle then tuner.

To be specific, '69 Chevelle with the 454 under the hood for muscle and any car from the Nissan Z series for tuner; 300ZX would be nice to have a interesting and unique collector's car these days. Don't like Hondas and Toyotas, totally a Nissan/Mazda guy as far as Asian rides go.

I prefer the AE86
Muscle cars only do straight lines well. In Great Britain there are lots of narrow twisty roads where they wouldn't be practical.

In most driving games you can just do powerturns on turns. In real life you have to slow down and know how it handles.

You need good driving skills to reign them in, which is part of the appeal. But yeah, it would be annoying in GB, with hardly any straight stretches at all to enjoy.

That might be true Ketchup but the fact remains the same.
I would choose an exotic car like an AMG Mercedes or Ferrari.

Rear wheel drive is where its at and why american muscle does it well once you lighten the load. Saying that though a short wheel base front to rear like porsche turbos does it even better.

It depends.

If I had to be realistic and take gas mileage, insurance and other things into consideration, I'd pick a tuner. If I didn't need to worry about those things, I'd pick Muscle.
