My pc fans get REALLY loud when playing certain games.
I have a program which monitors CPU and GPU temperatures and everything seems ok but it's still super loud when i play certain games. I was playing Mad Max earlier and it sounded like a jet engine.

I had as well a while back. Had to buy a new fan.

My new AMD RX 580 can get pretty loud under load as well. It was shocking at first, but I'm growing used to it.

I don't think it's necessarily a problem unless the noise continues to bother you.

your program is saying your temperature is fine because the noise is the fans keeping components at an ok temperature.

Are you even using a headset? Most gaming headsets have background noise suppression. Try fiddling with your settings.

Having V-Sync all the time (which I do) but there's a lot of side effects about it. Try V-Sync (Vertical Synchronization) first and if that solved your issue and you're fine with it then have it all the time.

Use your dedicated software to control your fan speeds to get rid of the loud noise or lessen it. Although its not recommended but it should be your last resort to this case.

You might wanna look into your program that controls the fans, and optimize them to function better.
Or, i dunno, replace jet engines with fans.

If the temperature stays constant while the fan goes loud, it means that it works as intended.
Cooling in action I'd say.
But if you consider the noise irritating, you might want to buy a fan that's more quiet.

Since you said something it is a very old thread.

I remember the fans on my graphics card acting weird. They would still run even after quitting the game and the temps were WELL below being hot for the fans to be on.

So I updated my BIOS and chipset drivers (I don't know which one it was that stopped it, probably the BIOS update that did it) and then it finally stopped being stupid!
