Maybe i should make a 'Lets Play' video for my channel which is all about READING THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST. That would be unique.
mmm, theres a potential money maker, convert gaming manuals to audiobooks, let's face it clearly a lot of people can't or won't read the damn things.
Partially this, and partially the fact that trying to focus on two things simultaneously (entertaining viewers and taking in everything the game throws at you) can be extremely challenging.
Either one of those will suffer from the lack of focus, and in most YouTubers' case it's the gameplay that suffers. This is understandable since their job isn't solely to play the game, but to also entertain their viewers while doing so. If their work were only to play the game then they might as well hide their camera and mute their microphone and just play the game.
That's why obvious things like shooting moving enemies are easy, but anything that requires half a brain to analyze and understand (go towards where the light it lit, push this button and then the other button, etc) takes a cringeworthy long time to realize. Because they're internally always prioritizing whatever commentary chain of thought that currently occupies their brain over the game itself.
So the solution to these situations are almost always the same, really: Shut up and give the game your undivided attention for 30 seconds without any interruptions at all.
People who like to learn games are not making videos… they are too busy learning game.
That's not true of coruse for all. In competitive multiplayer games it's usually the other way around. Best players are most popular. Nobody going to watch bad players.
