SIngle Channel vs. Dual Channel vs. Quad Channel Ram?
As the thread implies how much difference is there between using single channel, dual channel or quad channel ram in gaming? Ive not noticed much difference between using single channel or dual channel ram personnally? But maybe im missing something? Like some stuttering occuring during loading that I am not noticing in single channel. And what about quad channel? Does it make a difference?

I know in GPUs there is not much dfference between PCI-E 1.0, 2.0, or 3.0, or basically x4, x8,and x16 bus interface bandwidth. But that is different.

This is mostly correct. Enough for horseshoes and hand grenades. Enjoy.

Mostly speed and how the memory controller utilizles them. If you have dual channel, you want to occupy 2 slots out of 4, quad channel, 4 slots out of 8 and so forth for maximum performance per DIMM slot. The manual of the Motherboard will tell the recommended DIMM slots to occupy.

There is a difference in PCI-E slots with their bandwidth, but much of that bandwidth is not fully utilized to even cause a bottleneck. All of which are universal. Just look at AMD's new R9 cards with no crossfire bridge required, the bandwidth is taken directly from the slot. 3.0 is recommended when in crossfire and so forth on high end cards, but it's negligible.

you can run 4 dimms in dual channel mode
and 8 in quad mode
they need to be installed in matched pairs using the same colored slots
set at the same speeds/timings/voltage

pcie 3.0 has twice the bandwidth of pcie 2.0
3.0 x8+x8 = 2.0 x16+x16
