Graphics cards aren't inherently intended for certain resolutions above another, so much as they are just better at higher resolutions if they are faster.
The RTX 3060 Ti is well suited to 1080p IMO. But if you're finding it gives you the performance/visual balance you desire at 1440p, there's no reason you can't use it for 1440p.
You can see here on the Steam Hardware Survey that 64.6% of Steam users are still happily playing on 1080p monitors. Only 12.33% are using 1440p, and a slim minority of players at 2.73% have 4k monitors.
In spite of what a certain few vocal users will say, 1080p is still a very sharp and crisp resolution. That hasn't changed, and it won't change.
Just get 1x 1440p 21:9 Monitor.
Who still games across 3x monitors anymore?
Then use 1x 1080p display as an apps accessory display for web browser and overall system monitoring
great gameplay get a 144hz the difference is mind blowing.the janky gameplay of 60hz
was gone long ago.and if your going over a 24inch monitor 1080 is a bust go 1440.
who said i game across 3?
as i said i might upgrade to 1440p if one dies but i use the other 2 for videos and browsing or work...
But nothing wrong with 1080p.
For a while now I use 2 screens.
1x 1440p 165Hz 21:9
1x 2160p 60Hz 16:9
I use the 1440p ultrawide for gaming/movies and the 2160p (4K) screen for accessories, web browser, system monitoring, etc. Since the 4K screen can display as much as 4x 1080p screens, it's ideal for that. Plus it comes in handy for 4K games testing and such without having to resort to using DSR. Plus even if I want to use DSR, I can run tests using the 4K screen and with DSR I can scal to 5K or 8K if I want.
Years ago I used to use 3x 1080p screens then as GPUs got more powerful I felt it was time to move on. I can do way more with 1x 1440p ultrawide + 1x 4K screen then I ever could with 3x 1080p screens. The only cool thing about the 3x 1080p screen was NVIDIA Surround but I prefer the ultrawide over that now plus it's less of a headache with your OS + Games
The reason why people use 120+ Hz monitors now is because it's so much smoother, 60Hz is archaic.
Most people still use 1080p or 1440p, not that many people use 4K, and nobody with a functioning brain is using 8K.
I, personally, am quite happy with my gaming experience on ultrawide 1440p and don't see a reason to upgrade to 4K.
Look into 1440p 165Hz
Use DisplayPort cable connection
I suggest saving up your cash for a reasonably ok 27 inch 1440p. 144Hz minimum.
It is something that will last a while, work well with all games & modern graphics cards.
Edit: Oh and gsync compatible.
